IEP Architect vs. Brisk Teaching

Short answer: these aren't really the same kind of tool. Brisk helps with feedback and differentiation inside Google Docs; IEP Architect drafts the IEP. Here's how they line up.

IEP ArchitectBrisk Teaching
What it actually doesDrafts a complete IEP (present levels, measurable goals, accommodations, services, LRE), plus evaluation write-ups, progress reports, behavior plans, ESY plans, parent summaries, and IFSPs.A Chrome extension for feedback on student writing, reading differentiation, and other classroom-workload tasks, built to work inside Google Docs and Google Classroom.
IEP draftingThe core of the product: present levels from your evaluation data, measurable goals with baselines, accommodations, services, and LRE, shaped to your state. Not offered. Their own site does not describe a present-levels draft, a goal writer, an accommodations list, or an LRE statement.
Where it worksIn the browser, at ieparchitect.org; drafts export to Word or PDF.Inside the tools you already use, mainly Google Docs and Google Classroom.
PriceFirst IEP free, no credit card. Then a flat $19/month or $99/year, unlimited for your whole caseload.A Free plan at $0. Their Premium and Intelligence plans are custom-priced, with no individual price listed.

Which one do you actually need?

If you're looking for something to speed up giving feedback on student writing or differentiating a reading passage, that's Brisk's job, and it's not one IEP Architect tries to do. If you're looking for something to draft the actual IEP, the evaluation, or the progress report, that's not a job Brisk's own site claims to do. Teachers who use both use each for the thing it's built for.
